What is it?
Traditional low slope roofing systems were built on the roof from multiple layers of roofing material that were installed and carefully sealed to create a watertight roof surface. Single-ply roofing systems are made from a single layer of waterproofing membrane that is installed on top of the roof insulation and/or cover board. Innovations in the manufacturing process have made single-ply roofing systems that are lightweight, durable, and easy to install. There are a variety of options of material types, thicknesses, and colors to meet the needs of the building usage and owner objective.
